The
Power of the Force
Chapter Two
We are living in a
time period when the windows of heaven are opened and there is an explosion of
knowledge being poured forth. In the last fifteen years digital technology
change almost every area of our lives. Nearly everyone has a cell phone, an
ipod, and now we have GPS and can have a computer in our car to tell us how to
get somewhere.
Even as knowledge is
expanding in the natural world, there has been a release of spiritual
understand that has caused us to have to change much of what we used to accept
as truth. Those who are seeking truth have to change their way of thinking in
the light of what is being revealed by the Holy Spirit. We can no longer be
controlled by what we see. Paul said in 2 Cor. 4:18,
"While
we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:
for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen
are eternal."
We can no longer
depend on our reasoning to understand what is being revealed through the
Spirit. Much of what we are seeing in our Spirits has to come to a place of
being manifest in our lives. It is no longer good enough just to know about
these truths. There must be a manifestation of them in our lives in order for
the world to see the demonstration of the power of God through us.
In order for this to
happen there must be a devotion to God and an openness to Him that will not
hinder the flow of His power through us. We are going to have to come to an
understanding that He is a God of law and order. He has set His kingdom up
according to rules that will be used to control the flow of His life in His
kingdom. When we align ourselves to His rules we will be available for His
power to flow unhindered through us.
In the very beginning,
God decreed a law whereby every living thing would be governed by what it would
reproduce. He said, "Let every seed bring forth after it’s own kind."
As a result today if you plant an apple seed you will get apples. If you plant
corn you will get corn. There is absolutely no exception. In the same way if
you are born again by the seed, (word), of God you will produce His life. Jesus
talked about this in Mark 4:3-30. In verse 24-25 He said,
"Consider
carefully what you hear," "With the measure you use, it will be measured to you and even
more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what he has
will be taken from him."
Paul said in Gal. 6:7,
"Be not deceived; God
is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he
that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth
to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."
We have to understand that God is law. He is governed by the
decrees of His word and He never changes. As a result, everything will
reproduce after its own kind and this will never change. This law of
reproduction applies to man also. What we are is what we will produce. If we
have been born again by the seed (sperma) of God, which is His word, then we
will become as He is. We will produce after His kind. Because of this law,
nothing is needed to make it work because it is law. The law of like begets
like.
When we see God as law and we begin to harmonize our life with
Him, as our law then all that God is will be produced in us. However, if we
violate Him as our law, the result will be sin, diseases and death. If I do not
follow the law of electricity when I wire a house and I connect the wrong wires
together there will be a short that can cause a fire that will burn the house
down. Also, if I don't disconnect the incoming power to the circuit that I am
working on and I take hold of the wrong two wires, I am going to think that the
devil is after me. Why? Because I have violated the laws of electricity.
If our union with God is not as God we will come short of the
glory of God and the result will produce something other than life. What
happens is that everything within you begins to reproduce after its own kind.
It works in the natural and it works in the spirit. So what you produce you
will attract.
We have got to be completely convinced that we are the image of
God and that we are not a sinner but are the likeness of God. We have got to be
convinced that as He is so are we in this world. Not sometime in the future but
now. Jesus has came back in us as spirit and now our soul must be quickened by
His spirit again so that we will know that we are not a sinner saved by grace
but we are a child of God saved by His grace and we are as He is in this world.
If we ever become convinced that we are the image of God then what
John said in John 4:7-21 will also be true of us,
"Beloved,
let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of
God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. In
this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only
begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love,
not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the
propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love
one another.
No one has
seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love
has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us,
because He has given us of His Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the
Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is
the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and
believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love
abides in God, and God in him.
Love has been
perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment;
because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but
perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears
has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.
If
someone says, "I love God," and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who
does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not
seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love
his brother also."
How
much plainer can I state this truth? I am sure that most of you are familiar
with the 13th chapter of 1 Cor. where Paul gave a detailed
description of love.
"Though
I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become
sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy,
and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so
that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I
bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned,
but have not love, it profits me nothing."
This
has to become the pursuit and the force by which we live. We are the character
of God, the attributes of God, and the love of God revealed. We are His Kingdom
come in Christ Jesus. When we realize that God is love then we must take this
on personally and manifest it first in our own life and then in the body of
Christ. When this becomes true of us then the law of who God is will manifest
itself through us.
God
is love and so am I. This constancy of His being love is the power and energy
that creates. The energy of the nature of Gods love is this force that creates.
The love of God is not a sentiment of emotionalism. This love is a creative
force. Love is the foundation of eternal life. Love is the power of
intelligence and health. It is the central ingredient in healing. It can fuse a
broken bone and heal a broken heart.
Fear,
on the other hand, has the effect of changing the body's chemical process and
shuts down intelligence and replaces it with fear. It creates illusions and
dictates to the body that it is sick. Fear is nothing more than a condition of
thought.
There
is no greater power in heaven or in earth than the power of love. This is the
nature of the God force. It is the heart of the atom that holds all things in
place and keeps them from falling apart. We are localized extensions of this
God force. We are centers of this energy. If we become as He is in this world,
we will attract to ourselves spiritual and material prosperity. If you are not
living the way of unconditional love, you are interfering and interrupting your
ability to manifest this power, which is behind all of creation. This love is
infinite divine energy that is irresistible. Paul said in Eph. 3:14-19,
"For
this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom
the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you,
according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His
Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;
that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend
with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know
the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the
fullness of God."
Paul
also said in Rom. 8:28,
"We
know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who
are the called according to His purpose."
This
is the power that comes into every situation and converts it. We must learn to
love God with all our hearts. This love of God must reach into every fiber of
our being. We will actually train every cell in our body to be at full
strength. When this happens, we can take this love and same energy and apply it
to each other.
This
love will align our soul and our spirit with God. As a result, we will become
able to spiritualize our physical body. There will be such a radiating light
emitting from us that it will dispel the darkness in people's minds. The end
product of this love will break the curse of death. This is not a message and
the knowledge of this power will not affect a thing. There has to be a physical
change in each of us and this law of love be allowed to control every aspect of
our life if we are to break the power
of physical death. We have to come into a spiritual experience with God to
where we cannot be ill and we cannot die because you cannot kill a spirit. I
know that your first thought is that this is impossible but just listen to me
for a moment.
The
one problem the world and many in the church have is the idea that they are
separate from God. It is from this feeling of being separated that in their
minds they are separated and this causes fears and doubts. As a result, they
are always looking for what is going to be not coming to the knowledge that it
is here now. Because they don't know, there is fear and they hope it is going to work out sometime in the future.
This is what is being taught in most churches.
There
is no such thing as future. You can live in the past trying and wishing that
you could do something about the past but you can't. The past is nothing more
than a memory of a past now. The future is always an anticipation of a future
now. People think from a past now to a
future now and they never live in the now. This is an illusion. There is only
now. Every minute of every day is a present now. Paul said in Hebrews 11:1,
"Now
faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not
seen."
As
long as we think that God is somewhere out there watching us from a distance
there will be diseases and sin because it is a violation of His law. Bette
Midler's song, "From a Distance" was a chart topping Platinum single
for her. The main line in that song is "God is watching us from a
distance!" And it is sad that most Christians have been taught this and
many have this vision of God being somewhere out their in heaven looking down
on each of us in judgment of us. Listen to me! Jesus said in Luke 17:20-21,
"The kingdom of God
cometh not with observation Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo
there! for, behold, The Kingdom of God is within you!"
